MoMos are the defining dish of Napelese Cuisine.

You may have them with a traditional dipping sauce or surved in a spicy chilli sauce.

It is believed that Momos are of Tibetan origin. Merchants most likely brought the dish to nearby lands. In Nepal, Momos gained heightened popularity among the Newar Community of Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. The Newars are people who have lived in the Kathmandu Valley for at last 2,000 years. They are a people of Mongoloid and Mediterranean origin. The Newars traders were key traders on the Silk Road and most likely brought the recipe for the dumplings from Tibet. The filling of Tibetan Momos was mostly yak and Buffalo meat as Tibetan diets suffered from a scarcity of vegetables. The people of Nepal introduced vegetarian fillings to satify the large population of vegetarians. Beyond filling options, the Newar also introduced a new seasoning tradition to Momos. They cuisine uses spices such as Garlic, Ginger, Cumin, Coriander, Cardamom, Clove. To the people of Nepal, Momos are ubiquitous. They are to Napel that burgers and pizza are in America.

Thukpa soup the comfort food that everyone orders. As Tim Carman of the Washington Post said:

'As much as I love spring, I wish I could roll back the clock just to experience Moh Moh’s Thukpa soup, a vegetable broth loaded with noodles, scallions, peas, corn, potatoes and strips of breast meat. It’s Nepali chicken noodle soup, a spicy antidote to winter’s evil chill.''

You can order either Veggie Thukpa Soup or Chicken Thukpa Soup

What they're saying about us

I think about this place almost every day and it's a struggle to not order food (and a hot Nepali chai) from here daily. This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. I haven't had a single mediocre thing from this place. My wife loves the smoothies but I'm a hot Nepali chai guy myself and I get one every time I go.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have tons of recommendations based on your preferences and I've loved every one.
The Moh Mohs are twenty out of ten fantastic. My wife, who has been to Nepal, says they are legit and super tasty. I haven't had a bad curry yet either but the Okra Masala and Lamb Vindaloo extra spicy are super sexy.

The momos are amazing! We tried basically all of them, and they were all great! My favorites were the jhol momo with lamb and the C momo with pork. The jhol comes with a delicious broth and the C momo come in a thick spicy sauce. The veggie dumplings were also great - they curry spice the vegetables so they actually have flavor!
My group also loved the okra masala and spinach chaat. The veggie biryani also had a really nice flavor. We also loved the fruit smoothies - really refreshing!
This is mostly a takeout place - our group of six took up almost all the tables! But the staff was super great to us, and we'd definitely return.

Absolutely loved everything we had here - the moh moh were phenomenal (loved the hit of ginger), the goat masala was perfect, and the chicken achari (sp?), a special, had a lovely smoky flavor. The owners were very kind, and the food was ready quickly.
So glad we went and can't wait to try more items on the menu!

My first ever order from Moh Moh was on a food delivery app. I had a crazy craving for chicken biryani so I ordered that and had to get some momos since that's the name of the restaurant. The serving of biryani was massive! It was enough for literally three meals. The spices were just right and it was so tasty. I thought the momos would just be like regular dumplings but they were fat, filled with goodness and in a decadent sauce. Those could have been a meal in their own. The price is right, the servings are huge and the food is delicious.
Try this spot!

Wow! Moh Moh licious absolutely loved up to its name and beyond! I was stunned by their food. I wasn't expecting it to be so wonderful! We had saag paneer, veggie dumplings, chana masala, and naan and I cannot get over how wonderfully delicious it all was. The flavors were fresh and perfectly spiced. They had marvelous flavors. The staff was friendly and kind. The food was served fresh and hot as each dish was prepared. The naan had a slight crispness that was outstanding. They only have seating for 8-10 people. Casual seating. Most people probably do carry out given the size of the place. It was quiet and colorful. I wish it was closer to my home. I'd eat there every week. It was absolutely fantastic food! Nothing fancy. Just delicious food!

Their Moh Mohs were delicious. I had the chicken variety with tamarind chutney. They were made fresh. It took a few minutes and when they came they were steaming hot. The wrapper was perfect. Slightly thicker than normal and held the filling well.

Went on a Sunday morning and street parking outside the restaurant on Georgia ave was free. Otherwise it's a 2hr paid parking.

The place is good for take out but had a few tables if you want to dine in.
